"MANNAT/NAZAR/VOWS/VOTIVE"

"MANNAT/NAZAR/VOWS/VOTIVE"

Few Days Back I got A Message from A Woman saying that I made A vow to Allah That If He Fulfils My Wish then I will Give All My Gold Possesions In "Charity"

And SubhanAllah Allah Fulfilled her Wish and when Her Husband Came to Know about her "Charity Vow" he became angry !

So She Asked Me what should she do !

Here Is the Answer To Everybody Who Think Mannat Can Change Their Destiny !

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.685

Narrated by Abu Huraira
The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) said, "Allah says, 'The 'nadhar' (vow) does not bring about for the son of Adam anything I have not decreed for him, but his 'nadhar' (vow) may coincide with what has been decided for him, and by this way I cause a miser to spend of his wealth. So he gives Me (spends in charity) for the fulfillment of what has been Decreed for him what he would not give Me before but for his vow!"

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.683

Narrated by Said bin Al Harith
that he heard Ibn 'Umar saying, "Weren't people forbidden to make 'nadhar' (vows)?" The Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) said, 'A 'nadhar' (vow) neither hastens nor delays anything, but by the making of vows, some of the wealth of a miser is taken out."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.684

Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar
The Prophet discouraged the making of 'nadhar' (vows) and said, "It (a vow) does not prevent anything (that has to take place), but (through the vow) the property of a miser is spent (taken out) with it."

Instead Of Making Mannats/Vows Just do whatever Good Deeds you can do, Call Upon Allah With Humility And He Will Surely Respond ! Only A Dua Can Change Your Destiny !

"And your Lord said: ‘Invoke Me [i.e. believes in My Oneness and asks Me for anything] I will respond to your (invocation). Verily, those who scorn My worship [i.e. do not invoke Me, and do not believe in My Oneness] they will surely enter Hell in humiliation!’” [Surah Ghaafir 40:60]

In another Verse, Allah says:
“And when My slaves ask you (O Muhammad PBUH) concerning Me, then (answer them), I am indeed near (to them). I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me” [Surah al-Baqarah 2:186]

Dua is beneficial with regard to what has been decreed and what has not been decreed.

The Prophet (Peace be upon Him) said: “Nothing can change the Divine decree except Dua.” (Narrated by Ahmad, 5/677; Ibn Maajah, 90; al-Tirmidhi, 139. Classed as hasan by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 76687. See also al-Saheehah, 145)

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: “Du’aa’ may be of benefit with regard to what has already happened or what has not yet happened, so adhere to Du’aa’, O slaves of Allaah.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3548)

One should not make "CONDITIONS" with their Lord in their supplications.

And Allah Knows Best.
