"A True Confession"

"A True Confession"

A person few days ago shared his own story which is as Follows:

"Me And My Bothers work in Abroad Countries And We Are Alhumdullilah considered as Financially Stable People. As I was turning the age of Marriage my Parents Started searching A Suitable Bride for me. After Consulting several People, a guy from the Marriage Bureau brought A Suitable Proposal.

We Had 3 Cars but since My Father Had An Injury he couldnt Drive A Car. So My Parents went to check out The Proposal (On A Bike) and it turned out to be Great. After 2-3 Meeting with that Particular Family, everything got finalized. (Keep in Mind that the Parents of the Boy used to go to the Girl's house On Bike)

Everything Got Finalized And Was going pretty Well when suddenly One Day The Same Man who Brought the Proposal (The Guy from The Marriage Bureau) came to our House and said that they have Rejected this Proposal and Are No More Interested In Marriage.

When We Asked The Reason We Came to Know that they Said: "How Can We Marry Our Daughter With People Who Dont Have Any Car In their House?"

Upon Hearing this The Father of the Boy Exclaimed: "Let Alone One We Have Three Cars Alhumdullilah".

This Statement shocked The Girl's Parents And They Begged for Forgiveness But Alhumdullilah We Just Escaped from Such "Narrow-Minded People" And finally I Got Engaged to A Family much Better than those "Cheap People".

SubhanAllah What Is Going On In Our Society?
We Prefer These Worldly Valuables More Than Righteousness, Piety And Character? Where is this Ummah Going?

Allah Says In The Holy Quran:

And marry the unmarried among you and the righteous among your male slaves and female slaves. If they should be poor, Allah will enrich them from His bounty, and Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.(24:32)

It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “If there comes to you one with whose religious commitment and character you are pleased, then marry (your daughter or other female relative under your care) to him, for if you do not do that there will be tribulation in the land and much corruption.”

Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1084; Ibn Maajah, 1967. Classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in al-Silsilah al-Saheehah, 1022.
