::BIBLE; CHRISTIANITY AND VIOLENCE:: [A must read and Share]

[In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, the Most Merciful]

Before I embark on presenting this article, let me affirm that I believe in the holiness and righteousness of all of the prophets and messengers of God without exception. The current versions of the Bible were manipulated, as clearly mentioned in Jeremiah 8:8 by the God of Bible itself; some of these biblical teachings mentioned here below may have been from God, but many are hard to believe about the prophets, and hard to believe they were revealed by God; take for example the commands to kill the children, including infants,
this is impossible to have been revealed by God.
The objectives of this article are to strengthen the faith of Muslims in their religion, particularly nowadays when they are being bombarded by the unfair politicians, theologians and media outlets of the west. And to refute those unjust Jews and Christians who have the audacity of criticizing Islam for the so called "violence" while completely turning a blind eye to their own holy book, traditions and yes, HISTORY.

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:
"Fight in the way of Allah those who fight you but do not transgress. Indeed. Allah does not like transgressors." [Qur'an 2:190]

And Allah commands further:
"And if they incline to peace, then incline to it [also] and rely upon Allah . Indeed, it is He who is the Hearing, the Knowing."
[Qur'an 8:61]

And Allah says further:
"And if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there are no oaths [sacred] to them; [fight them that] they might cease."
[Qur'an 9:12]

It has also been recorded that the Messenger of Allah, sallallahu allihi wasallam, forbade Muslims to wish to fight there enemies, in other words, advised to avoid war.

Narrated by Salim Abu An-Nadr:
"Once Allah's Apostle (during a holy battle), waited till the sun had declined and then he got up among the people and said, "O people! Do not wish to face the enemy (in a battle) and ask Allah to save you (from calamities) but if you should face the enemy, then be patient and let it be known to you that Paradise is under the shades of swords." He then said,, "O Allah! The Revealer of the (Holy) Book, the Mover of the clouds, and Defeater of Al-Ahzab (i.e. the clans of infidels), defeat them infidels and bestow victory upon us."
[Bukhari : Book 4 : Volume 52 : Hadith 210 :: Status- SAHIH]

Regarding the Etticates of fighting, the Holy Messenger, sallallahu allihi wasallam, said:
“Move in the Name of Allah and by his help and upon and according to the way of his Messenger; Do not kill an older man, a child or a woman and do not steel from the booty and compile it all; Do righteousness and show kindness for Allah loves those who are kind"
[Reported by Abu Dawood from Anas, and Ibn Majjah]

These values were further elucidated by the first successor of the holy Prophet, sallallahu allihi wasallam, Abu Bakr Siddiq razi'Allahu anho, who said:
"Do not do treachery, do not kill a non-combatant in the company or army, do not steel, do not betray, do not mutilate the dead, do not kill a child or an older man or a woman and do not cut a palm tree or burn it or any fruitful tree and do not slaughter a goat cow or camel except to eat. And you will pass by monks who devoted themselves to solitude in their tents so leave them alone with what they are dedicated to."

And with regards to the treatment of captives, Allah says:
"And they give food in spite of love for it to the needy, the orphan, and the captive," [Qur'an 76:8]

The Prophet said: “He who Harms a contracted/peaceful non- Muslim, then I will be His opponent.” [Reported by al-Khatee].

Also The Prophet wrote in his covenant to the Christians of Najran:
"No man from among them [the Christians of Najran] may be held
accountable for the violations of another of his fellow coreligionists."
[Reported by Abu-Yusuf in al-Kharaj]

AND NOW LET US TAKE A TOUR THROUGH A SAMPLE OF THE
VERSES PERTAINING TO WAR IN THE BIBLE.

The current versions of the Bible claim:

OTHERS ARE ALL ENSLAVED IF THEY AGREE TO PEACE; AND IF
NOT THEY GET ALL KILLED EVEN AFTER THEY ARE DEFEATED!

God said:
Deuteronomy (20:10-18)
10 When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. 11 If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. 12 If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city. 13 When the LORD your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. 14 As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the LORD your God gives you from your enemies. 15 This is how you are to
treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby. 16 However, in the cities of the nations the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely destroy them—the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—as the LORD your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the LORD your God."

It is known in Islam that when people accept peace, they are left undisturbed and they can even enjoy self rule in all matters pertaining to their religion. This applies to the people who are defeated in war as you may notice from the historical quotations in the footnotes.

Deuteronomy (32:41-42)
41 when I sharpen my flashing sword and my hand grasps it in judgment,I will take vengeance on my adversaries and repay those who hate me. 42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood, while my sword devours flesh: the blood of the slain and the captives,
the heads of the enemy leaders."

It is quite interesting to hear some say that God in Islam is portrayed as mighty, compeller and all powerful, while in the Bible it is a merciful and loving one.

Do not spare them; put to death men and women, children and infants, cattle and sheep, camels and donkeys.' "

Do you find any command in Islam of killing the women and children? .............NO
You find quiet the opposite. Refer to the beginning of the article for the Islamic position in.

THE CHRISTIAN RESPONSE::

Now, some Christian may say: Well, but Jesus never acted upon this and He never declared war against his enemies. They say these are all metaphors!

THE ANSWER::
============
You will be able to answer your self if you knew how many followers Jesus (Peace be upon him) had before his supposed crucifixion. And these followers didn't even stay faithful to him during his supposed crucifixion, as we are told by the current versions of the bible.
But once his followers – as they claim - had the power to do so they killed more humans than the followers of all other religion, combined from the time of Adam (Peace be upon him) until today.
These very verses were understood by the popes of the church who waged the crusades against the Muslims, Jews, Eastern Christians, Heretics and Wendish Pagans to be literal and to pertain to the enemies of Jesus.
The sectarian wars between the Christians throughout the history and the killing of “heretics” were all about the killing of those who only chose a different interpretation of the religion; something you don't find in the history of Islam. All of those clergy men who were behind this didn't understand the words of Jesus (peace be upon him) to be metaphoric.
The history tells us about the forceful conversions to Christianity at the hands of the roman emperors, and throughout the history. The largest spread of Christianity was through the annihilation of nations of people and replacing them in the so called "new world"
The conversions of the natives of the new world to Christianity took various shapes, but they mounted to kidnapping children from their mothers to civilize them; part of the civilizing program including their conversion to Christianity.
Many Christian clergy men jumped on the warships that departed from Europe to convert the peoples of the conquered lands to Christianity. The difference between this and what the early Muslims did is that the only Muslims were in their conquests serving the purpose of the religion and the to-be-liberated peoples, whereas no one doubts that the European colonization of the world was for the interest and greed of the European colonialists. It is not only the catholic popes who propagated the sheer violence
seen in the crusades, but you find that Martin Luther the founding father of two large Christian denomination (the Lutherans and Protestant) was extremely violent, and there is no better proof than his pamphlet about the Jews labeled "On The Jews And Their
Lies" in which he preached the killing of all Jews and the burning of their synagogues. It is not a coincidence that Martin Luther was a German! THEY ALWAYS ATTRIBUTE ALL WRONG DOINGS DONE BY CHRISTIANS TO NATIONAL, RACIAL OR SOME OTHER SENTIMENTS AND MOTIVES-- WHERE AS ANY FAULT BY A MUSLIM MUST HAVE ORIGINATED FROM ISLAM – but the reality is that the anti-Semitic sentiment in Germany continued to build up from the time when they were Catholic and received a huge boost or overdose by Martin Luther, and eventually manifested at the hands of the Nazis. Tell me when did the Muslims do this to the Jews? In fact when they fled from the Spanish inquisitions they ran to Muslim countries, such as Turkey and Morocco. The Christian minorities continued to live under Muslim rule undisturbed, whereas after the Christian capture of Spain by a few decades, the entire Muslim population was extinct.

And Oopsss.......!
I forgot to mention the cannibalism taught in the Holy Bible. All those killing, burning and looting was not enough for the God of Bible to satisfy. He needed the Opponents to be roast-eaten by the Christians.

John 6:52-53
“52 The Jews then disputed among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 53 So Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.”

John 6:60:64
“60 When many of his disciples heard it, they said, “This teaching is difficult; who can accept it?” 61 But Jesus, being aware that his disciples were complaining about it, said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? 63 It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh is useless. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life. 64 But among you there are some who do not believe.”

We recently were surprised to hear the news from Josh, Nigeria, that the Christians after killing Muslims are roast-eating their flesh. So it’s clear to all of us now the basic reason behind there inhumane act was nothing but these verses of Bible, the so called book of God.

AND AFTER ALL THIS SOME CHRISTIANS AND JEWS STILL HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CONDEMN ISLAM FOR VIOLENCE.....! grin emoticon grin emoticon grin emoticon
