"Wearing Of Gem Stones As A Good Omen Is "SHIRK"

No Sahih Hadith is reported from the Prophet (peace be upon him) regarding the merits or characteristics of rings and gems It is thus impermissible to ascribe to the Prophet (peace be upon him) things that he did not say for it is authentically reported that he (peace be upon him) stated, "Whoever lies against me (intentionally), then (surely) let them occupy their seat in Hell-fire." Consequently, it is impermissible for a person to believe that these rings have special merits, or to believe in the stories and myths which are related to them. It comes under the term "Shirk" if anyone consider it as a good omen or Eraser of Problems.

Even the most sacred of stones has no basis in the controlling of either benefit or harm.

It is in Hadith - Narrated by Zaid bin Aslam (RadiAllahu Anha) from his father who said: "Umar bin Al-Khattab (RadiAllahu Anha) addressed the Corner (Black Stone) saying, 'By Allah ! I know that you are a stone and can neither benefit nor harm. Had I not seen the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) touching, I would never have touched (and kissed) you.' Then he kissed it and said, 'There is no reason for us to do Ramal (during circumambulating - Tawaf) except that we wanted to show off before the Pagans, and now Allah has destroyed them.' 'Umar (RadiAllahu Anha) added, '(nevertheless), the Prophet (Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam) did that and we do not want to leave it (i.e. Ramal).' (Bukhari book #26, Hadith #675).

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 51:

Say: "Nothing will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our Protector"; and on Allah let the believers put their trust.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 17:

17 If Allah touch thee with affliction none can remove it but He; if He touch thee with happiness He hath power over all things.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 57 Surah Hadid verse 22:

22 No misfortune can happen on earth or in your souls but is recorded in a Decree before We bring it into existence: that is truly easy for Allah!
