"WHY MUSLIMS SHOULD NOT DO YOGA?"
~Introduction Of Yoga:
The Whole Hinduism philosophy can only be understood under the 6 schools of thought which are as follows:
1. Samakhya
2. Yoga
3. Niyaya
4. Vaishaisikha
5. Vedanta
6. Mimamsa
Yoga is meditation, knowledge and liberation. According to Hinduism, Yoga is not only an exercise its an school of thought- a part of Hindu Shariah (Jurisprudence).
Hinduism says :
For any man and woman in order to keep Themselves away from the lust and desires of this life they will have to meditate i.e to do yoga..!!
There are 4 types of Yoga as prescribed in the Hindu religion:
*Karma Yoga:
*Ghiyana Yoga
*Bhakti Yoga
*Dhyana Yoga
All these Yogas means whatever you are doing in your life you can only do it after performing these exercises remembering God so that you can abstain yourself from evil deeds !
~WHY MUSLIMS OPPOSE YOGA?
Muslims do not have any problem with exercises or meditations. But Muslims cant take any exercise which have A Religious Background in Hinduism.
Hindus say that Yoga will make you abstain from evil and will increase your consciousness and awareness But Being Muslims We Even have A Better Means to Increase our Awareness and consciousness and that is
~Quran And Salah
Allah says in Surah Ankaboot
Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. (29:45)
So Muslims Do not need Yoga As we Have "Five Daily Prayers" which keeps us Away from Evil deeds !
The Other Reason why Muslims Oppose Yoga is :
Surya Namaskar is a Part of Yoga which involves worshiping of "Sun". How can A Muslims take part in such an exercise which includes the Names of The Idols of Hindus and worshiping Sun?
~THE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH SHOWS THAT THE PRAYER HAS GREATER BENEFITS THAN YOGA:
Niyyat – when one begins by saying “Allahu akbar”
“Body feels relieved of weight owing to even distribution on both feet. Straightening back improves posture. Mind is brought under control of intellect. Vision is sharpened by focusing upon floor, where head will prostrate. Muscles of upper and lower back are loosened. Higher and lower centers of brain are united to form singleness of purpose.”
Qiyām – during which one recites Al-Fatiha and additional surahs of the Qur’an
“Extends concentration, causes further relaxation of legs and back, generates feelings of humility, modesty, and piety. In the recital of the above verses, virtually all of the sounds that occur in Arabic are uttered, stimulating dispersal of all of the ninety-nine divine attributes in perfectly controlled degrees throughout the body, mind, and soul. The sound vibrations of the long vowels ā, ī, and ū stimulate the heart, thyroid, pineal gland, pituitary, adrenal glands, and lungs, purifying and uplifting them all.”
Rukū – bending at the waist
“Fully stretches the muscles of the lower back, thighs, and calves. Blood is pumped into upper torso. Tones muscles of stomach, abdomen, and kidneys. Over time, this posture improves the personality, generating sweet kindness and inner harmony.”
Qauma – rising from rukū
“The fresh blood moved up into torso in previous posture returns to its original state, carrying away toxins. Body regains relaxation and releases tension.”
Sajdah – prostration
“Knees forming a right angle allow stomach muscles to develop and prevents growth of flabbiness in midsection. Increases flow of blood into upper regions of body, especially the head (including eyes, ears, and nose) and lungs; allows mental toxins to be cleansed by blood. Maintains proper position of fetus in pregnant women. Reduces high blood pressure. Increases elasticity of joints. Annihilates egotism and vanity. Increases patience and reliance upon God. Increases spiritual stations and produces high psychic energy throughout body. This posture of supreme submission and humility is the essence of worship.”
Quūd – assuming the sitting position after sajdah
“For men, the heel of the right foot is curled up and the weight of the leg and part of the body rests upon it. This aids detoxification of the liver and stimulates peristaltic action of the large intestine. Women keep both feet, soles up, underneath their bodies. The body returns to even greater relaxation, and the posture assists digestion by forcing the contents of the stomach downward.”
Repeat of Sajdah
“Repetition of the deep prostration within a few seconds cleanses the respiratory, circulatory, and nervous systems. Gives experience of lightness of body and emotional happiness. Oxygenation of entire body is accomplished. Balances sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.”
We Muslims have A Better Excercise Named "Prayer".
~WE INVITE HINDUS FOR A BETTER EXERCISE - "THE PRAYER"
There is no denying that Yoga may be a good form of exercise like most of the rituals of most of the religions are. But Yoga is not simply a physical exercise; it is also a spiritual one and spiritual exercises involve some kind of devotion to some “supreme” entity. It would have been great if the initiative had been taken by the Hindu religious organisations rather than the government and Hindus had participated in big numbers. Hindus doing yoga can certainly be expected on average to be more morally and physically healthy than Hindus not doing it.
But the truth is that Islamic practices like Namaz, Fasting, and Circumcision, Qur’anic injunctions of breastfeeding for 2 years, Islamic bans on gambling, alcohol, promiscuity, homosexuality and abortions, all have huge beneficial effect on health, with almost each one of them substantially increasing not only the life expectancy but also the standard of health.
Can we then have a Namaz Day for country, an anti-Drinking, anti-gambling, anti-obscenity, anti-gay, anti-abortion and a circumcision day for the whole country? What will be the reaction of BJP if such days are celebrated in a Muslim majority state of the country like Kashmir? They can certainly agree to some of them which are not directly recognized with the name of Islam.
